Izzy and Nick Barnsley House

This was a seriously stylish and very intimate wedding at Barnsley House in The Cotswolds, probably my favourite venue in The Cotswolds. Nick and Izzy are two very discreet people and what they wanted was an intimate outdoor ceremony, dinner and party with their closest friends and family.

There were around 50 guests in total which was absolutely perfect for their small outdoor ceremony and reception in the restaurant. Izzy looked incredible and wore a Mori Lee dress with makeup by Amy Rose Makeup, with flowers by Oops a Daisy in Cirencester. They ceremony began at 3pm so it was a slightly short day overall, but being August all the guests enjoyed the lawns, gardens and candle lit pond until late into the evening.

We did two short sessions for their couple photos, to make the most of the light. There are some really beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, a more formal garden and expansive lawns at Barnsley House; there’s no need to go far. Nick and Izzy also wanted some sparkler shots which are normally best at dusk, before it gets too dark. It really does show what’s possible with a smaller guest list. I would definitely favour a more beautiful venue with less people.
