The McBriens (Newborn)

This was the second time I photographed the McBrien’s, now with one week old baby Jesse in tow. The family photography session took place in doors in Southmoor in Oxfordshire this time - and I love doing this. Everyone is comfortable and relaxed, and the photographs just end up being much more honest. A lot of time during first few months with a new baby inevitably is spent mostly indoors, therefore capturing this and remembering how how all of this felt is so important in my opinion. It’s not about setting up very posed photos, it’s about capturing the essence of this very special time, mess included.
